The Lake Bluff Doula
*currently on maternity leave, stay tuned*
Hi, there! I'm Betsy Weber (she/her). I began my birth work as a birth and postpartum doula back in 2009. The following year I moved to Oregon and worked as a midwife assistant. When my family relocated to the North Shore, I continued working as a  midwife assistant until my second son was born in 2017. In all, I've attended over 70 home, birth center, and hospital births. I'm certified as a DONA birth doula and an infant massage specialist. I've received training as a DONA postpartum doula, ICEA Childbirth Educator,  breastfeeding counselor, certified nurse assistant, placenta encapsulation specialist, infant massage instructor, and in neonatal resuscitation. I most recently completed the Cornerstone Advanced Full Spectrum Doula training and the Common Sense Childbirth Community Outreach Perinatal Educator. Parenting has been my life's greatest joy. But, as a new mom, I kept asking myself, "Shouldn't this be easier?" The Lake Bluff Doula is my answer to that question. I hope to make it easier for you!

Modern schedules, far-flung families, and information overload have all made becoming a parent a little more stressful.  My goal is to give you the most up-to-date, evidence based information so that you can make informed decisions for your family.  Plus all the love and support you need to thrive as a new parent. Maybe you want to debrief after meeting your doctor. Or you need a referral for a pediatrician. Or this weird breastfeeding thing just happened! I'm here for you.
